I have two questions. The first one is more of a request... Can someone time your wipers next time you have them on? Just count in your head, doesn't have to be accurate. I'd just like to know how many seconds between wipes, at lowest settings, highest setting, and in the middle. I'm just talking about the knob for the intermittent cycle (first click on the wiper lever). The reason I ask is because I think something got disconnected when I installed my gauge faces, because I get 8 seconds between strokes, at slowest and fastest. If anyone knows what I need to reconnect, that'd be helpful too. ;)The second question regards my air conditioner console. For as long as I can remember, the buttons haven't lit up. Just the green selector light. But a couple weeks ago, during a long night drive, I looked down and noticed they were all lit up! I was amazed. It reminded me that they did work last year, when I got the car. So anyway, I enjoyed the rest of my drive being able to see my air comfort controls, but next time I flipped on the lights, they were dark again. I haven't seen them light up since. Anybody else have this problem? I don't think they burnt out, since they came on that one time. Maybe something's loose, but I just thought I'd post and see if anyone knows exactly what the problem is before I take off my whole center console and start plugging and unplugging things.I just remembered a third question. This one's quick. The backlit LCD digital clock on my gauge cluster lost its backlitness. Clock still works, but it doesn't light up with the rest of the cluster anymore. Not a big deal since my head unit has a clock, but what happened? Is there a tiny bulb I need to replace in the clock itself?

As for your second question about the ac lights, it is almost definatly your light bulbs, I had the same problem changed mine out and its all good now.

There are 2 bulbs, I got mine at the dealer

TCU - little white box in the kick panel by the fuse box - I had the exact same problems but that little white box fixed them all~

Whoa whoa whoa. I don't know what little white box you mean, but I trust I'll see it when I look. However, what problems do you mean? All three of mine? And what do I DO to the little white box? This sounds promising. ;D

as for the havac, bulb is prob loose. It is on top of the hvac box. Just tighten it with a phillips and super glue or tape it so it will not move.

yeah the bulbs in the hvac controls are leds i thought so they don't burn out... i think, i knonw on mine i just had to tighten them a little bit right after i got the car, but my lights went out again so i will have to check themthe clock has its own bulb seperate of the rest of the dash if i recall and i suspect that is your problem.and the tcu would be most likely suspect on the wiper timingbryce

Thanks guys. I bet you're right, probably a loose bulb. I'll check that. As for the dash clock, I think that'll have to wait... I am SO not pulling that damn thing out again until summer, when it's comfortable to be outside.Do I have to replace the whole TCU? Find one at a junkyard or something? Or can I get it from Nissan? If so, how much? Also, don't you think it's a little weird that the wiper thing started right after I put my dash back together with new gauges? You sure there's nothing I could have bumped?I appreciate the help. =)

junkyard is your best bet, i payed 10 dollars for it from a junkyard..don't bother with the dealership...i have a picture of it pretty simple..slip it of the bracket, unplug it, plug in the new one~

Update: I tried to tighten the HVAC lights but I think only ended up stripping the plastic screw things. At any rate, I confirmed that they just had a loose connection, so I taped them down with some electrical tape, and haven't had any problems since. As for the dash clock, I'll probably wait for a while before I fix that. Not a big problem, and I'm assuming it is indeed just the bulb. And it sure is a pain in the *** to get the gauge cluster out.The TCU I have not even looked at. I think I'll probably check the connections in the steering column first, to see if my original suspicions were right and I just accidentally disconnected something. I don't know any junkyards around here, but assuming I find one with 240SX parts, how close to my model to I have to get? In other words, if I take a TCU from an earlier S13, or maybe one with HICAS or ABS or something, will that screw up my car?
