I searched, and couldn't turn up much....

I've got an 89 coupe... and the windshield wipers are giving me a world of trouble.

The symptoms are:-They do not return to the full DOWN position when shut off-They will randomly turn on, full speed, and not respond to the on/off switch at all. They continue until I pull the fuse-When I pull the fuse, I can manually return them to the DOWN position, but after replacing the fuse, they return to the above symptoms

I don't know if it is a case of a short circuit, or a bad relay, or a bad motor.... or anything really. I haven't investigated too much yet..(it just happened yesterday) but I was hoping you'd have some input.

ThanksMark

It sounds like the amp. The little green box next to the brake master is the amp and parking timer for the wiper. If you have an extra one, try swapping it on. If that's not the case, it could be a sign the timing control unit is going.

Okay... I appreciate the suggestion. I'll check that out tomorrow. Any other suggestions are welcome!
