wiper problems

Hey guys, great site

I've been looking around the internet and can't find any answers to my problems, so maybe you guys can help. I have a 1990 240sx

Ok, #1 is when i push the button for the rear wiper, it will turn on, but to turn it off, i have to turn the car off

#2 is that the intermittent wipers dont work, high and low still work though

#3 is the most important, the front windshield washer doesnt work, i pull the knob thing, and nothing happens, the wipers dont move, the things dont spray, hower the back washer still works.

#1 could be the rear wiper amplifier behind the rear panel by the hatch latch in the body. If the wiper doesn't return to the park position the motor maybe defective. #2 maybe the switch itself or the frt wiper amp or time cotrol unit. #3 could be 2 problems the switch and or the washer motor. If not sure you might want to go to a reliable shop.

I HAVE A SIMILAR PROB.... but... I dont have a rear wiper... the cars front wipers dont come on. There is a short in the line because it continually blows the fuses, but only when you turn it on. It's almost as if there is a defective wiper motor or switch, but I can't be sure of which it is. I did a continuity test on the wiper motor and got nothing so I am assuming it's the motor. I even tried boost the amperage to 30amps from 20amps and it still blew the fuse... i am still not sure.... any ideas????
