Wiper problems. Motor works, but no wiper movement (searched)

ok, all this started today when today. i noticed the wipers doing fine but on the stroke back down (about 45 degrees) there was a ticking noise. i didnt think anything about it besides it being annoying. well about 20 min later i loud pop and the wipers stopped moving, but i still hear the motor moving. Not real sure what to do from here. anyone have this happen or know what to do?

your linkage probably poped off. your may need to replace one of the plastic sokets as it probably broke due to lack of lubrication.
