wiper linkage?????

wiper linkage?????
Ok this morning i was on my way home from work and had my wipers on to get rid of the mealted snow, and my wipers went up and made a loud thud then slowly slid down my window. When i got home i took off the moter and found that the nylon bushing was busted. So i tryed to take out the whole wipper linkage out to get to the bushing, well all the bolts are rusted and i can't get them off. so i need to know what wiper linkage will work in my 90 240sx? I was thinking that mabey parts form the stanza would work but not sure any help would be welcome. Thanks Todd

OI, I found this post while searching and i figured it's the perfect place to ask Since the original posters question wasn't answered in this thread, i was just wondering if it was ever answered at all. I've been searching for a while and this is really the only thread i've seen similar to my situation.
My situation: I have a 1991 240sx and it's starting to rain so i need my wipers. My drivers side wiper failed during some storms a while back. I was just driving with the wipers on and then i hear a thud and my drivers side wiper just falls. The passenger side still works, but the drivers side is not. I popped open that little grill dealy on the drivers side and i see a metal bar from the drivers side wiper to some joint in the middle. Its broken at the joint. Sooo...
1. What is it that i need to fix/replace? (the joint, joint and metal bar, is joint perm. attatched to some unit, bars come w/ unit?)2. Is there some way to simply fix this? (doubted)3. Is there some replacement i can find at the junk yard? (not many 240s)4. Is there some replacement i can find at the junk yard that's not a 240?5. Do they still sell that kind of thing somewhere like autozone, checker or napa?

Anyone? I really need to get this fixed. My windshield isn't exactly in the best shape (scrapes and stuff), so at night it gets kinda starry and w/ the rain it gets worse.
I guess if no one in here knows i'll post this in the 240SX and Silvia Forum, cuz there seems to be more traffic in there.

I actually want to know this too. I bought my car with the wiper motor detached and can't seem to find a part number or proper name for the linkage that connects the motor arm to the wiper pole thing.

No kidding about the part number thing, I spent some good time last night looking throught the FSM for anything relating to the linkage(s?) and couldn't find anything.

Well i got ahold of a buddy at the Nissan dealership and told him what happened. he ordered my part for me took like 3 days and only ran me i think it was 20 bucks. and just popped the new one in and it works fine. its a lil cramped in the area for the linkage

well I don't know if you all got this figured out or not, but if you haven't the same thing happend to me. I guess you could call it the linkage, but anyway I just went to the auto parts store and got new bushings. I replaced all the bushings ( I think there were three) and after that it worked fine.

Bushings? Do you mean the joints between the linkages and the pivots? Because that's what broke on mine, and I need to know if the joints can be replaced or if i need to buy something else. The center pivot is okay, it's just the joint connecting the center pivot to the left linkage.
If that can be bought and replaced and problem solved, then please, please, pretty please, tell me the part number, and where you went to get this... and how to remove the halves of the broken joint out of the linkage and the center pivot.
BTW, I emailed Dan, i guess that's his name, at MidwayParts, anyway, he has yet to respond. I guess it's because of the weekend, but i'm eagerly awaiting an email. And there's been no rain, so i'm okay for now, but i wanna be able to go driving next time it drizzles

O.K...
I'm not exactaly sure what you need but that's what it sounds like is the bushings...O.K...you have the wiper motor that mounts to your firewall, then a metal piece that hooks to the wiper motor with a bushing...Then the metal piece goes to your passenger side wiper, it and the metal piece that goes to your driver side wiper hook to your passenger wiper with a bushing, then the other (linkage) or whatever hooks to your driver side wiper with a bushing. Is it the bushings you need? Or the metal pieces that you need. Or is it the wiper things that you wiper arms hook to? Well if it's the bushings you need I got them from Discount Auto Parts> I just asked for the wiper bushings and they gave me what I needed.
