Wiper Fluid Motor

How do you access the wiper fluid motor? I know that it's located on the washer fluid resevoir, I just don't know how to access it. A number of people have told me "Oh, it's just under the battery." Well, I took the battery out and there is a metal sheet welded to the frame to hold the battery. Do I have to access the resevoir from underneath the car? Thanks in advance. Regards, Jason
