My wipers are old and ripped. I do not like BIG wipers blades. Who makes a small profile good quality whole blade that will fit under the hood cowling? My current blades are bosch. Thanks for your input.

I have the Rain-X blades, but they might be a little large. They have proven durable though.

Might look at the siliblades or the PIAA which some people like.

Just buy the refills instead of the whole arm. It's cheaper and lets you keep the size you want.

I've used them and the Bosch, but they only last a year in TX.

Higher silicon content should extend performance life.

I use the Rain-X Latitude wiper blades on my Q, they're an amazingly good design that really reduces the hell out of streaking. They are not cheap, by a long shot, but mine have lasted quite well on my last two cars and between the blades and regular Rain-X treatments on the windshield, I might as well be driving under clear skies.

I swapped to Michelin Radius wipers on the Q (same style as the Rain-x latitudes but I don't use the actual rain-x treatment). I cannot express my satisfaction with the wipers. I've experimented with blade refills on every car I've owned and they all suck. Lifespan is terrible, you get spotty coverage and streaking, cheap ones fall apart, and in places with harsh winters they are essentially useless in the cold--which is often when you need them most.

The Michelins have lasted longer than any refill blade I've ever purchased and still perform like new (which also happens to be better than any refill blade I've used). They're quiet, there's no spotting, and because of the rubberized springbar design combined with the Q's tuck-away wipers, very stealthy when not operating. They also stand up to ice very well...I've accidentally run them across a rough icy windshield 2 or 3 times with no negative side effects.

I've been using Reflex Wiper Blades sold at Canadian Tire stores. They've served me well. I also use Rain-X washer fluid and Rain-X Glass Treatment. I really like P21S Windshield Washer Booster too.

The Reflex Wiper Blades are a new type of windshield wiper. They feature a hingeless design, with a "flex" design, designed to ensure even pressure of the wiper against car windshield. The rationale behind this design, is that the even pressure reduces the likelihood of streaking, often attributed to uneven wiper pressure. This is especially true in winter conditions, where snow and ice can build up on wiper hinges and prevent proper operation. There is an aerodynamic airfoil that reduces wind-lift at high speeds.

I have to say that I have always been very impressed with the quality of the OEM blades. I normally get smooth like-new operation out of them for at least two years. That said, my only comparison are cheapie ANCO (or worse) WalMart replacements.

It looks like those Reflex blades work on the same principle that the Michelin and Rain-X blades do. I hadn't heard of either alternative yet, but I'm glad to see them coming around. May bring the prices down in the near future.

I have used the rain-x blades and reflex, they are the same and equally amazing. They are so good, I tend to find myself hoping it rains bad enough that the people with substandard wipers have to pull over leaving the interstate mine to rule.

I'm still using the same Radius wipers I put on last fall. They still work great, though they've gotten noiser. Still not as noisy as traditional blades, but not dead silent like they were last winter.

Best bang for the buck are the Tripledge wiper at Wal-Mart. They use a silicone blade and are SO quiet on every car I've installed them on (four).

Dont know how they do in the snow, but for rain they're smooth, clean, and silent.

Change blades annually and clean them with isopropyl alcohol every month or 2, polish windshield once - twice a year with glass compound and buffer.Bartenders Friendhttp://www.autogeek.net/glassc...CWB5whttp://www.janvil.com/

Makes for a happy owner and passenger.

I run with trico neoforms and they work great - even after 7 months. Wisconsin winter is coming so we'll see how they do...
