Anyone have a good suggestion for purchasing wiper blades? There was a good website suggestion awhile back but I didn't save the info.

Thanks!

Or just go to dealer, you only need the rubber inserts. I doubt they cost that much.

I like the premium Bosch units, they seem to do a great job with the Q windshield, esp in heavy rain. I always replace the entire arm, not just the blade, so that may be part of the success.

After you replace the rubber inserts once or twice the blade starts to wear out. When you feel that is it kind of loose in your hand when you are changing inserts, or when the wipers can be heard inside the car when they change direction, time for blades.

An alternative source is:

http://www.silblade.com/

for silicon insert blades. I have used these, and the inserts NEVER wear out. But, you still need blades after a year or two.

fxjackso, -- that was exactly what I was looking for! I remembered it as soon as I went to the website. Thanks!

greg_atlanta, I went to the website you suggested but didn't see anything wiper related. Lots of other good stuff, though.

Thanks, all, for your help.:)

get the bosch. both the inserts and the head are of high quality. if they start streaking due to road salt etc. just rub them with a clean cloth and theyre good for another season.

I agree with fxjackso! The Silblade stuff is awesome. A bit more expensive than usual, but works very well.

One trick I use to "resurface" the inserts is to take some ultra-fine grit paper and lightly clean the edges of the blades periodically. This seems to remove the hardended stuff and allow the blade to last a lot longer. I do this every 3 months or so to inserts and it works well. I recently switched to Silblades and have not done it to them yet though!

I'm still happy with my OEM inserts!!

Best wipers I've ever used (except the ones on my Dad's '89 Cressida)

I really want to stay with OEM. Does anyone know if the maxima or 300Z blades fit a J30?

I like the OEM inserts as well - maybe it's an Atlanta thing. You can pick them up from any Infiniti dealer for not too much - I'm sure the Nissan dealers can provide them too. You can get them with the arms if yours are looking worn (like mine).

why not just get the 5 dollar walmart blades and use rainx? I hardly use my wipers anymore with rainx...it rains a lot in FL too.

Switched from OEM to a silicon blade for the FY33 and G50, but have only seen them at the Aloha Costco in Portland, OR.

Works quite well, and includes the arm.

The Bosch Premium blades are very rugged and work well for rain as well as hail, snow, sleet, etc. In my experience, they last three times as long as they inexpensive AMCO units you can buy at Pep Boys.

For the best results, use CASTROL RAINGUARD. It's the best stuff on the market, much better than Rain-X. Whereas with Rain-X is really only effective at highway speeds, with the Castrol stuff rain beads right off, even when the vehicle isn't moving.

I keep a bottle of the Castrol windshield protector, Rain-X fog protector and a big bottle of heavy duty Ice remover in my glove box. They've come in real handy on many occasions.

The Wendle Infiniti blades I got were worthless junk. Maybe they were old.

I got Anco blades at Wal-Mart and applied some generic rain-x stuff I found at the supermarket. I'm now extremely pleased.
