why in the hell did Nissan put a 14" blade on the passenger side??? no automotive store within 30 miles has any other type of blade beside OEM type, ei: trico exact fit. I was looking for a decent pair of blades like neo Form, or ION Bosch, etc... seem ANCO, rainX, michelin, etc are all crap these days, plastic this and that... this is not advance technology, this is cheap plastic crap sold to the public... so after wasting most of my day chasing down blades, I finally ordered the Neo Form blades from RockAuto
Front Passenger 16-140
Front Drivers 16-260

hopefully now they will last the winter and into spring easily...

Soooo, I was only able to purchase 2 Neo Form blades for the Altima Coupe and recieve the 10 dollars of, which really should have been 15, damn hosers!!! Advanced auto parts you suck...

in the store was advertised 10 dollars off per pair. Mail in rebate is 15 per pair. so at least that will offset the cost of shipping...

I found an Anco 14" blade for my 2009 Versa S sedan at Walmart yesterday. From data I researched it actually called for a 13", however, the 14" works fine.

i had same problem when my oem blades fell apart after a couple months of owning my versa. i bought the exact fits, which were trash, and couldn't find any other brands that would work. i finally went to nissan and bought a pair of bean blades. they have been great and were pretty good price. cheaper then the rain-x latitudes i bought for my last car.

what did you wind up paying at the stealer for the wiper blades? I knew my local dealer had beam type blades,I think they were Anco maybe? I saw them on display last time I was there... just hate running back to the dealer for something simple as wiper blades...which my local auto parts should have had in stock, but NOT...

don't remember exactly. think was between 20 - 30. may have been little over 30. but know i paid over 40 for the blades i got for my last car. so think that was pretty good price. don't know if they were anco. it was in box that said nissan on it and didn't see any brand name on blades. i had no luck finding any blades here at any parts place. if they had passenger blade then didnt have driver blade and if they had driver blade then didnt have passenger. was like a joke trying to find blades. only ones i found were exact fit. they just smeared my window. horrible blades. havent changed my hatch blade yet. anybody know what size it is or how to replace.?

Replaced mine with a set of Rain X latitudes i picked up Auto Zone while i was getting some other parts for a family members vehicle. bad news on the rear blade it will end up being either dealer ship or special order don't believe that many auto parts stores will have them in stock.

I just bought frameless wiper blades from Wal-Mart and got the 14" passenger side. This is my second time buying wipers for the Versa, and both times I've had no issues finding the 14" blade for the passenger side.

Looks like the passenger wiper overhangs the plastic trim?

I agree with Andrew, the wiper arms and transmission/linkage often has some slop/play that will go past it`s normal points of rotation especially at high wiper speeds. You`ll just have to watch and see where the wear pattern occurs...

Great get with your Mann+Hummel filters. How much were they? German made replacement parts are not always cheap. JunRaymond, those blades look awesome. I think I am going to get a set.

@Tacuvito - Thanks!

BTW, here are close up pics of the passenger side wiper. Though the frame overhangs on the plastic trim, the wiper blade barely touches it.

Oh! didn't notice that early on. Thanks for the info JunRaymond, I will make sure I find the 14" for the passenger side to avoid this from happening. I was at Sam's Club last week and saw 14" Bosch blades. I will see if they are still there.

What's the story with the stock blades? Is it just me or did everyone else's blades start to break apart after a year? If this were under a year old and they did this I'd ask the dealer for a new set.

I went with Bosch blades for both sides. I normally replace my blades once a year anyway so it doesn't matter how long they last. It's part of owning a vehicle.

Of course I expect to replace them after about a year anyway but I don't expect them to fall apart and force a replacement. Ah well I suppose some corners had to be cut to get the price of the car low?

I don't think Nissan cut corners on the OEM wipers... they lasted just as long as quality replacement wipers, particularly considering that they sat on the dealer lot under the sun for so many months.

Sounds like you're blaming Nissan for your wipers deteriorating after a year. They don't make wipers and not all parts are created equal. I just replaced the original wipers two weeks ago and the blades weren't even that bad. The passenger side started tearing only, otherwise no complaints.

If you were so upset about Nissan cutting corners or any other car company selling entry level cars at the price they're selling at, maybe you should rethink and start purchasing Luxury and high-end vehicles that meets your quality standards. It seems your mindset is on 'you get what you pay for'.

It would be logical if they did? I would if I were Nissan and it would save a few dollars here and there. My car sat on the lot for maybe a month if that. I first test drove it right after it came off the truck, still had plastic on the outside and foam bits sticking to everything. I went back and bought it shortly after. I'm sure it was the same car as they only had one blue bare bones 1.8 hatch.

Sounds like you didn't read or fully understand what I wrote? No I'm blaming the company that made the wipers for making a product that has fallen apart. So you think I should buy "luxury or high-end".. That makes perfect sense.. let me go buy a BMW just so I can get better wipers? Seriously get a grip, I know what I paid for and as a consumer I've every right to be annoyed when a product falls apart. I've no complaints quality wise with the car as a whole everything else is exactly what I wanted and I'm still more than happy with it. Yes I do expect the wipers to be replaced yearly, I was only registering my shock at them falling to bits.

It honestly sounded like you were blaming Nissan when you said, "Ah well I suppose some corners had to be cut to get the price of the car low?". Everyone has every right to be annoyed when a product falls apart, but personally for me, I'm not too shocked when it's a wear and tear part like wipers, brake pads, tires, etc...replace the part and move on. It's part of owning a vehicle.

Yes it is a wear and tear item that I expect to fail in time but maybe that was my fault maybe I left it too long? Anyway front wipers replaced already and yes it did feel like a corner cut but this is an entry level car and without a doubt some corners were cut to get the price that low. Having said that I'm very happy with the car, now I'd be happier if I could find a rear wiper blade without having the dealer replace it.

Um... Nissan's OEM wiper blades comes from the same manufacturer whether you're driving a Versa, Sentra, or Maxima.

Obviously there are cost considerations for all vehicles, but amongst basic components like fuel-pumps, A/F sensors, wipers, manufacturers basically use common components from the cheapest but most consistently able to hit spec suppliers.

Entry level cars are made cheaper by utilizing fewer sheet panel presses, fewer manhours in development and assembly, and wider tolerances in construction. As far as I know, no manufacturer "cut corners" on silly things like wipers or bolts. They're generic components where no $ is to be saved.

Well we can all sleep easier now tonight knowing those that forked out the extra for a Maxima will still have their blades fall apart in the first year lol.
