Hi
My wife just got a 2007 M35x. I can't get the wiper arm to come away from the windsheild to change the blades. I'm able to get the wipers to stop while their vertical on window. The blade doesn't seem to want to come off in this position, and i'm pushing the release lever on the blade with a screwdriver while pulling down.
Any help would be appreciated, Thanks.

The arms wont fold all the way up on these cars without hitting the hood... but you have the option to turn on the wipers and cut off the engine while the wipers are in the up position. I just did mine last month. If you car is off just push the ignition push button couple times without the break pedal to get power, no need to turn the car on! :gotme

Good luck! :bigthumb:

There is something that you squeeze under the blades to release them. Once you squeeze it, they loosen right up. This was where I was getting stuck too. Hope it helps

OK, since the first two responses appear to not have fully read/comprehended the OP, I'm going to step in here even though my experience might not be relevant. I had my OEM blades replaced with some Goodyear blade that is supposed to be all special at an oil change place (I needed new blades and I'm lazy). I watched as they easily removed the OEM blades and had a really hard time (to the point of shaking the car) getting the Goodyear blades to snap on. Later, I learend that the rubber inserts could be replaced on the OEM blades, but it was too late for that knowledge to do me any good (interestingly, that was how my 66 El Camino worked, and I thought manufacturers had stopped doing that to make more money on blades). When I switched blades myself the next time, I went to an aftermarket set with the same feature, I ended up having to break the realease clips completely out and then still fight pretty hard (while trying not to put additional strain on the actual linkage to the car by trying to hold stable / exerting opposite direction force against the arms) to get them removed. The aftermarket blades I put on snapped in with ease. Any chance you are trying to replace aftermarke blades someone forced in?

When I bought my 06 it had Bosch blades on it. I was not able to remove them without destroying the blades and I've changed hundreds. Replaced with OEM Nissan blades. Much better.
