OK, since the first two responses appear to not have fully read/comprehended the OP, I'm going to step in here even though my experience might not be relevant. I had my OEM blades replaced with some Goodyear blade that is supposed to be all special at an oil change place (I needed new blades and I'm lazy). I watched as they easily removed the OEM blades and had a really hard time (to the point of shaking the car) getting the Goodyear blades to snap on. Later, I learend that the rubber inserts could be replaced on the OEM blades, but it was too late for that knowledge to do me any good (interestingly, that was how my 66 El Camino worked, and I thought manufacturers had stopped doing that to make more money on blades). When I switched blades myself the next time, I went to an aftermarket set with the same feature, I ended up having to break the realease clips completely out and then still fight pretty hard (while trying not to put additional strain on the actual linkage to the car by trying to hold stable / exerting opposite direction force against the arms) to get them removed. The aftermarket blades I put on snapped in with ease. Any chance you are trying to replace aftermarke blades someone forced in?
