I'm looking for winter tires (late, I know) for my 17 AWD Rogue and had one shop suggest GITI winterpro2. Has anybody heard of these? What are you running on your vehicles? Living in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada for reference. Lots of snowy/slushy/icy weather. Thanks in Advance.

I've never run those but they look good. They have that wide center strip so probably good on dry and wet with adequate snow and ice performance. Most other mfg have eliminated that and gone full snow which I think was done to please the you tubers.

I've decided to go with the Firestone Winterforce 2 UV. We had our first snowfall last night so I need to get them on ASAP!!

Thats a more modern tread pattern. Probably slightly better in snow and ice. Noisier and not good in extreme wet or dry. I am running Michelin this year Xice Snow SUV. I have not bought Michelin since a set of Alpins probably 30 years ago and they sucked so so bad. Tread separation, they gave me a new one, then a bubble which they gave me a 50.pct prorate after one winter.

Late posting this but I got a better price on the original tires I was hoping for. Went with the General Altimax 12 tires. We've had a few snowy/slippery days here in southern New Brunswick and the tires have performed very well. Little to no slipping when starting (very slippery conditions) and very good when stopping. Would definitely recommend these tires to anybody still looking!!

Did you get them studded?

Nope, no studs and they work great. We had some wet snow and I had to climb a few hills, slipped a bit but when the AWD kicked in I made it around without any problems.
