Hey Guys/Gals,

This is more region specific but the Southeast section is very quiet so maybe I'll get more input here. For those of you with RWD I was wondering if the winters here warrant winter tires ( I just moved here from CT this summer)? I currently have all seasons and it's still early but just thinking ahead.

Thanks!

Depends on where in the Southeast. Mountains, I'd consider. Georgia, Alabama, most of Tennessee, wouldn't waste the money. All depends on location.

Sorry just realized I didn't specify. I'm in Suwanee, Georgia. North of Atlanta but not quite in the mountains.

I would not bother with snow tires in Georgia. At the most, according to the site I used, you could have 2 days per year with 3 inches of snow. Hardly worth the expense, trouble, increased road noise for so little snow.
