Hi,Just wander if anybody experienced similar thing…We bought steel rims at ok-tire, bring them to kal-tire to put tires on and to do balancing. The day before yesterday we bolted wheels to the car. It feels kind of bumpy, like the wheels are squared… it feels more at low speeds, then on higher ones. What the problem might be? I thought it is balancing, but it should get worse if the car goes faster…

Having never used the rims with other tires it's hard to say it's just the tires or if it's the rims.

You could have the tires "trued" where they shave them to make them perfectly round.

And it could be the balance. I've have tires that shook like an apple cart at 60 but where smooth as glass at 80.

Just put my winter tires on the steel rims I just bought. No problem whatsoever!!

Maybe the balancing is off?

If you swap wheels you will need to see the Nissan dealer to reset your TPMS light. Which by the way runs $105 plus tax., if they are new tpms censors. If you are using your old sensors they may reset it free but you still need to go to the dealer or leave the light on.

If they are new tires, it may just be because they still have some "new" bits left attached. These could be labels or rubber strips left from the mould. So check for labels. The rubber mould bits will rub off after a few weeks.

You might also have picked up a stone, nail, etc.

My buddy had his tire slip off his front wheel when driving home on a gravel road returning from Kal Tire. All of a sudden he was just riding his rim. I would stay away, man.

We went to kal-tire asking what is going on, and were told that the rims are not round circumferentialy. it does not affect safety, just the driving is more fun. i think we still should replace them. we just got them, and it is not just for one season...

if i bought them and install at the same place, it would be much easier, i would not pay for installation, but here ok-tire or kal-tire should take the expenses?... i do not really trust ok tire anymore and would do the installation somewhere else, just can' imagine how to to it ...

I guess Kal-Tire up there is like TiresPlus down here. Biggest rip off people around.
