Just got my new winter tires installed this afternoon, all I can say is WOW.

225/50/17 Michelin Pilot Alpin PA2

Coming from the sh!tty Kuhmo ASXs (came with the car), these tires are 100x quieter, grip on the dry surface better (yes, and its still a winter tire), and handles superb. Picked these up at Costco for $760 total, with tax, installation, lifetime balance/rotate, hazard warranty, and Nitrogen fill on all 4 tires.

I can't wait to try these out in the snow, everyone at the shop said these are amazing in the snow. The reviews online backup this statement too.

Just a reccomendation for anyone needing good performance winter tires this season.

Just remember youll mess the tires up if you drive when it gets warm (above 60F or so)....

It has to stay cold or they will get really hard and wont be as grippy in the winter.

I know that already.

It wont be warm until March, so I have plenty of time to enjoy them without worries.

"It will be getting warm in March" - may be a little too optimistic - possibly in April or May. Just kidding - temps in Twin Cities is already down to late 20s - 40s.

Good luck with those tires and post a review mid winter when we get some snow on the ground.
