does anybody know if its at all possible to drive an 87 300zx during a snowy winter?

Sure. Why not? It's not like they melt if they get wet.

Shouldn't be a big deal. just take it easy around corners and slow down your driving a bit. If 2WD 8-banger, weight-less rear-end pick-ups can do it, so can your Z.

For some people, getting behind the wheel isn't a smart thing to do. But there are no special problems the Z encounters that make it undrivable in the snow.

the open diff sucks in the snow, I drove my z31 in light snow, ground clearnace isn't great but the one wheel drive makes it tricky, avoid it if possible, and they might not melt but they will rot, in our area the Z31's rot in the lower rear quarters and the rear floor pans where the rear crossmsmber bolts to the floor
