I live in seattle and from what everyone is saying we are about to be in for a winter with no lack of snow and ice. Because of this i think im going to park my Z for the winter so nothing stupid happens to it. What i was wondering are is there anything special i should know about keeping it parked out side in the cold for a couple months, my plan was to park it on a parking pad i have and put a Z car cover over it. Is that ok and will it be safe or is there something else i can do so that when i get back into it to drive it works just as well as when i wrapped it up? Does anyone know anything about this?

I have mine covered in the driveway right now. Jerry recomends putting a dish of bakeing soda in the engine bay to absorb moisture. You want to chacnge it about every 3 months. Instead of putting the locking cable on mine I filled up 2 anti-freeze jugs half way with water and used them to hold down the cover. My cable started scratching the car.

Hey thanks for the help. Where do you put the baking soda in the engine bay just under the hood somewhere or does it matter?

Also put some mouse traps at the inner 4 sides of your tires. No need to explain why! Fill the tank up. ( I know it won't freeze) Run a heavier solution of antifreeze through it, then drian it before you drive it next summer. I would also put it up on jack stands so you dont get any flate spots, pull the battery. Heck, actually if i had to park it out side, i would remove the tires also and wrap the brakes to protect the from rusting up real bad over the winter. Just a few thoughts.
