So I was driving out to Kent tonight (about an hour away) and its snowing a little and there's a ton of salt all over the roads. Salt is the root of all evil, it eats cars...but anyways. I see up ahead of me this beautiful silver porsche. I get closer and and its a twin turbo. Get next to it and it has HUGE wheels, and I'm talking like 5" of dish in the back and brakes that could stop a locomotive. Now if that wasn't enough, this thing has auto authority badges on it (big money high performance porsche tuner) and sounds like a cage full of rabid gorilla's.

So that brings me to the topic of this post....somebody has way too much money to subject a car like that to ****ty weather and a ton of salt. WTF were they thinking? They should give one of us their car cause I'm sure every single person on here would treat it better.

Well, arn't there some paint jobs that resist salt very well?

Do Q45s have a problem with the salt eating away the paint?

paint wil resist salt very well, in all cars, but once the rust gets under the paint, then you have a problem. it can get under it from things as simple as a deep scratch.

Didn't have my camera on me. When I get my new phone I need to get a camera one so I can snap pics when I don't have the real digi cam.

Hey guys, german cars resist rust and winter conditions very well, still no excuse to subject a car like that to that kind of abuse....but if you think about....maybe is not HIS car???hint, hint: as in lease....? maybe thats why he dont care too much and thats why he can afford one......

A Porsche would make a nice beater. Of course, if it was a Cayenne then it really would be a beater.

you can wash a car after you drive it and it works pretty good. Maybe he missed driving it or wanted to show some buddys. I would probably drive it if i had it once in a while

I doubt a guy who drives his $150K Porsche in the snow would take the time to wash it. His hands might get cold...

I'm pretty sure that Porsche's have aluminum bodies which are immune to salt. I have a colleague who drives his '00 Aston Martin year round, the bodies aluminum, not a lick of rust anywhere.

He was probably testing how much his wheels would spin in top gear on snow...no but really, if I had a Porsche, it wouldn't be on salt. Even if I could afford it I wouldn't. Maybe he's just really rich and doesn't know better.
