Well, it would appear that the winter fuel blends have hit the local stations. last 3 tanks have been below or just barely at 30 MPG.

Anyone else notice a dropoff recently?

no, haven't noticed yet.

however, why is it they always talk about the price increase with the move to summer blend but never talk about any price decrease with the move back to winter blend??

There will alway be an increase. Shortage of supply as they switch over their refining process between winter & summer & summer to winter. This price increase goes up fast and slowly trickles back down as supply catches up.

But we should all be pay $4.00 by Christmas...Thank You oil speculators.

Yes I noticed a marked difference in my last 2 tanks of gas. Just when things were looking up for me they d!ck around with the fuel again. Do we really need a winter blend in the Pacific Northwest??

I haven't noticed a difference in price or MPG. But living in the Chicago area, we have some of the highest gas prices in the country, price fluctuations don't show very readily because we are already being gouged.
