As I look at getting a G35 I was curious how it does in the snow? Since spring is here and the snow is gone here in Utah I hate to think about winter again...but looking to the future how well will the RWD G do in winter conditions? Thanks!

If you have a set of winter tires and wheels you will have no problem driving in snow. It's highly recommended to anyone driving a RWD or any other car.

Welcome to NICO

I've done just fine with mine here in NJ these past two and a third years. Although you probably get more snow in Utah, if you know how to drive a stick then that is the way to go in my opinion. I'm sure they do a good job plowing roads out there? Drive carefully in bad weather, keep good tires on your vehicle (Search for my post on tires) and you should be fine.

You could always get a Ford Mustang for the winter and carry a screwdiver with you. If you get stuck in snow, just take the plates off & leave it. Someone might dig it out in the spring.

yeah... I roughed it out this year in all seasons... probably could have used snows, at least in the back, but I did get by...

I plan to put snow tires on my stock rims and keep some 20's tucked away till the summer... It's still snowing here in atlantic Canada...

We are lucky here. 1/2 of the snow gone. Nice and sunny and 5-8 celsius.

With good winter tires (I had Goodyear GW3 Ultragrips) on my 07 Sport Sedan I had no problem. It was an unusually bad winter here.

I drove a Jeep Cherokee (lifted with BFG A/T tires) for most of my early driving career. I got the G35X last December and was amazed at the similarities. They are both great in snow although I prefer the Jeep since there are so many idiots out there with no snow experience on those same roads (and naturally, the extra clearance)!

I'm guessing you're not looking at X models but I do not worry about getting caught in an 80-degree morning finished by an afternoon snow storm with my G35X (if you're from Colorado you know what I mean). In fact, I was happy I paid a bit more for it when I was able to get up the exit ramp while weaving around all the stuck in the last surprise storm on my way home.

Sorry I can't offer you more about RWD cars!

Are you kidding me?? The only time you should have your VDC off in the winter is when you plan to play in an abondoned parking lot. Or if youe G get's stuck in the snow and you need to rock her back and forth to get out!

turn VDC off in the snow for takeoffs only. If you are in new snow you will spin too much because it is so sensitive. Turn it off til you are going 10-15 mph and then make sure you turn it back on for safety.

I would wait for the AWD coupe. I had an 05 coupe and live in NY and with snow tires....didnt have any problems getting around.
