Well.. despite the fact that winter doesn't officially come for another month and change.. It's obviously upon us.

My 'vert is in the garage and won't come out until spring (unless it's for a trip to the paint shop or my buddies garage for body work).

What are you guys doing with your 'vert this winter??? I wanna hear some projects and ideas.

Here's my plan.. Exterior redo.. silvia conversion, coupe doors, body work, and paint. I happen to have a thread already dedicated.. zerothread/286526

What are you guys doing with your 'verts over the winter?

Mine isn't that exciting yet. I am going to drive my vert to school all the time. When I pay off my $1600 debt which is not that hard to pay off now since i have a good part time job and get the 30 hours i want. I am going to save up for a new convertible top and then once that is on, I am going to put black leather seats in it and those are my plans for the winter

I was going to post something like 'What are you getting for the Christmas' end of this month or early next month, and you beat me to it. Nothing big. I have some small plans and will post later.

I have nothing planned except the usual maintenance stuff. It's my DD so I just want it to be as reliable as possible until I get another car.

Just some cosmetic stuff for me. Obviously my new top should be on around Thanksgiving. Also mud guards, new smoked taillights, smoked side markers, and would love to do the coupe door panels...but need to find a set in GREAT condition. Also would like grey coupe seats!

It's next summer that the suspension starts!

Mine will be going to our new shop in a week or two. Will be spending the winter there. RHD will be done. Will also be taking out the complete under carriage, getting all the parts powder coated. Should come out this next spring with a fresh coat of paint and ready to roll. Watch for the molasses like project thread I started this past summer! lol

My vert is stripped, sitting in my garage awaiting parts. I already have the frond wide fenders (50mm), and i'm getting the rear wide fenders(30mm) too, also want to get an origin body kit, after I get all the parts it will be off to the bodyshop and hopefully painted.I also want some wheels & 5 bolt conversion, and I really want coilovers.

If I have any updates it will be in my thread 1SickSilvia in the making

-Fix the A/C-Rebuild the steering-4 wheel alignment-Finally put the Q45 front brakes on-Bondo out all of the dings-Repaint the car red with topside boat paint (yes BOOMSHAKALAKA, it's not going to be satin black)-Restore my 180sx fog lights and install them

Then I might sell the car in the Spring. We'll see.

Can't really do anything without a garage. It will also sit covered and be driven about once every 3 weeks.

But things that need to be done:

-5spd swap (have all parts)-install RUCAs and get alignment-install new Hawk pads and braided lines-maybe buy some sway bars-take off front bumper and try to line fontend panels up perfectly-find a boot

my project thread is here

with the other projects taking up space in my shop, and my DSM project taking up money, i'm not going to be doing much to the vert this winter. i would like to finish the HUD swap and maybe get the car painted. coilovers would be nice, but so would a ka-t...

i'm selling my wrecked vert (the white one) to zach (prodigy on here and fellwo TCE member) and he's going to go crazy with it. so that'll bring in a little bit of money. i'm also seriously considering selling the silvia front end too in order to bring in some more cash. all of that money would be put into coilovers and foreged internals and turbo parts for the vert.

Hey gang,Hmm... FINISH MY SWAP....aarrgghh.. and get it running. 1) Finish the SR and 5 speed swap and get it running. 2) Install 5 lug conversion hubs (Thanks PDM racing for a nice product)3) Install JUN fender flares (Damn it, Greg beat me to it....lol at least mine will be a Silvia).4) Get new top and install it (looks like I may be going Black w/tan top).5) Install coupe doors.6) Settle on bodykit to go with flares.7) Recover the interior... thinking of covering the dash and door panels w/tan leather and black leather accents... but not completely married to that just yet.8) Suspension9) Get AC working w/swap.That should cover the winter....oh yeah..... Hit lottery so I have time to do all this....lol..

Madcowvert, I think you might have me tied for most stripped down interior, except I don't have carpet or seats atm :D

I would really love to see how your doing your wire tuck, as I've been contemplating one myself.

as far as my plans, I could go on for days...

-battery relocation,-amp install-speakers-clean up wiring-replace coolant temp sensor-MAYBE foam my chassis-install interior-roll cage-spoiler delete-re-drill RUCA's to get more camber-get a suspension that doesn't suck.-fix quarter driver's window-"engineer" a new rear plastic window that I can actually see through... enough to tide me over till I can afford a new top.-fix exhaust leak and extend muffler out a bit so I'm not lighting my rear bumper on fire.

yeah, that's the long and short of it.

yes, keep us up to date for sure... I know how much of a PITA it is to do step by step things... especially when you're in awkward spot or hands are covered in grease and don't want to take pictures.

I ended up doing a bit of cleaning on mine, ran the injector harness and all of those wires under the intake mani. you'd be suprised the difference it made.

/sorry bout the hijacking

I have the harness back in the car i just need to cut some cables and i'll be good to go then it's time to fit the fuse box's into the glove box.
