Need a site do DL some music - must be easy to use, spy/adware free, and be a little quicker than this crap I've been using...

LimeWire is awful, but better than freakin' WinMX. Afaid I'm not too versed in P2P piracy. =\

Ares is amazing, it's like a musical dollar store... but without the crappy quality... and cheaper...

Still not finding a search function like on WinMX... Maybe I don't know what I'm doing.

Just download lite and then run it. After it's installed and you open it, you'll see a button that says search. If you want, i can get the doggy biscuits and we can do this the manual way, but I'm sure you can figure it out.

AZ if you're looking to download legally I like to use Napster religiously. You can purchase and burn entire albums. Same with iTunes, the only difference is that with iTunes you can't become a member and just listen to entire songs - you have to buy it if you want to hear the whole thing. With Napster I pay 9.99 per month and can listen to whole songs (vs 30 secs) and download what I want for .99 per song. I find myself rarely downloading anything, so it's worth it IMO.

how would it be worth it if you rarely download anything?

I'd have to say, "keep it legal". I wouldn't even risk messing with RIAA. If they'll sue a 12 year old girl, they'll sue you. I'd stick with Napster or iTunes if you want to get music that is not otherwise freely available (freebies on artist's websites or indie stuff).

Because I pay to listen to what I want to when I want to but I don't ever download for the .99 per song. You use iTunes and the only way you'll listen to an entire song is to buy it.

Tell that to my step brother thats fighting with the RIAA right now. Somebody had to share it for you to download it, and downloading it illegally is considered stealing to them, so you're receiving stolen property. And BTW, my step brother never shared his music either.

I tried Ares and it was horrible. WinMX is the best I've found in a long while, but I don't download much anymore because there's almost no new music that comes out that's any good, and if it is good I'll usually just buy it.

I hope to be proven wrong, but I hate when someone's first post is to get you to try another site. What's the term for ForumPostSpam?
