Yes sometimes driving on the freeway can be a challenge with rocks/debris that fling at you from trucks. Has anyone gone and bought their second or third windshield since the first day from the dealership lot?

I'm on my second windshield after a semi hauling gravel lost a few on the highway and hit right in the middle of the windshield.

I am now going on my 4th windshield. I took the 1st one to the dealership and they said that it was not a stress crack. I had a local glass company install a new windshield and that one lasted about 3 months. My third one I had installed about 2 weeks ago and when I went out to my car this morning, there was the same crack. It starts from the bottom of the drivers side and goes up several inches over the vin #. Then it extends towards the passenger side about 12 inches. Has anyone else had this problem?

Mine never cracked it was pitted from rock impact. State Farm replaced the windshield with a factory replacement free of charge. I get one free replacement windshield every year.
