does anyone know why the switch for the wipers only work in high speed ? cant for the life of me figure this out, checked the fuses and i dont see a bad one. could it be the entire lever ?

wiper amplifier may be bad-located next to starter relay under hood{grey box pass. side top near windsheild}

amp is basically a relay and some electronics in a little box that is about 200 if I remember correctly{ pulled one out of a salvaged q} as joe said they rarely go bad,so far it has been ok in the 2+ years since I did this.

one winter i fried the wiper amp--i had left the wipers on intermittent, turned the car off, a day later started the car and the wipers tried to plow through 1/4" of ice. burned the fuse, and totally fried the amp--sometimes the wipers worked, sometimes not, sometimes intermittent, sometimes you turn them on but not off--that was a real bummer on hour long trips. somebody on this board was parting out a q and i got his amp for 10 or 20 bucks, and it's worked fine ever since. so good luck, that's what it sounds like to me.

Definitely get a used one, no reason to pay for a new one when they rarely go bad!

hi wes thanks for the info on the amp. just wondering if you know where i could order one, when i try the sites no one ever has the little special parts like that one. any help would be great.
