Lately about two thirds of the time when I turn my windshield wipers off instead of retracting to the storage position they stop at about a 20 to 30 degree angle to the horizontal. I have to keep turning them on and off until they finally stop at the correct resting position. Has anyone else had this problem and if so what did you do to fix it? Is there an adjustment or something that needs lubing, or is my windshield wiper motor just getting weak?

Your motor could be getting weak (Most likely)

Your wiper relay or switch could be going bad (Least likely)

All could be checked, please refer to service manual: http://Nicoclub.com/FSM/J30

Thanks for the link, I bookmarked it. But all the FSM has is an electrical diagram and how to adjust the windshield washer spray nozzles. doesn't even show the mechanical setup or locations of the components, or have any troubleshooting procedure.

I would try and replace the relay first and see if that gets you anywhere.

In your service history or receipts does it show that either the motor, relay or switch ever being replaced?

Or it could even be the timer control unit, if the repay does'nt fix it that would be my next step.

Is this problem affected by temperature at all?
