Windshield wipers are not working

I have a 1996 Infiniti I30 and my windshield wipers stopped working. I checke the fuse, and the fuse is good. I can hear the wiper motor turning but the wipers won't go back and forth. I checked to see if the screw was on to tight, but it wasn't. Why are my wipers not working?

Sounds to me like a gear stripped in the motor and its time for a new one to me. Give that a shot!

Take off the wiper arms and then pop off the cowl cover, the linkage might have come apart.
