I have a strange problem with the wipers on my Q. Trouble began with a snowstorm in Atlanta, of all places. The wiper fuze blew due to heavy snow accumulation on the windshield and in the cowl opening. After that, the wipers would not park properly, they would park in the fully upright position, and fuze failures were frequent. T3 (Byron) checked it out, found no faults in the timer or relays, so we assumed it was the wiper motor itself. When replaced, the new (used) wiper motor performed in the same fashion -- fully functional except the park position is upright in the center of the windshield rather than down in the cowl. Does anyone know of some other component that should be replaced? Or should I bite the bullet and go for the gold-plated dealer solution, which is to start putiing in all new stuff at a minimum cost of $500. It is possible that the new (used) wiper motor has the same fault as the original, though that seems unlikely since it was checked prior to install. Any help would be appreciated.

The position switch is inside the motor assembly but feeds the wiper amplifier module..............

Is the position switch accessible without pulling the wiper motor? I'm lost, even after your reply, and so is the dealer here in Cincinnati.

It seems you may have the arm bolted to the motor 180 degrees out. Loosen the bolt at the motor & move the arm around & it should then park at the bottom.

Hmmm... maybe it slipped pushing against the snow? Hard to say but it might be a good fix even if not.
