windshield wiper problem

ok heres the deal.... my windshield wiper turn on but don't turn off untill i turn the car off. i have switched the motor and switch but still nothing. then i heard there is a wiper relay. but where is it. the part number that i got from nissan is 25230-40f10 but they said they weren't sure if that was the right one. can some1 help with a number or location. i have the fsm but they only show wiper amps. oh and i have a 93 240sx thanks

If you go back to the dealership and give them back that part number to look up or ask them to look up the wiper relay,(don't know EXACTLY what it is called, but anyway), they should be able to give you an exploded diagram of it so that maybe you can get an idea of where it is. I had that same problem. It turned out to be a faulty relay (aka "wiper amplifier"), which is a small green box adjacent to the clutch reservoir.

I replaced it with one from a wrecking yard.
