windshield wiper knobs...

The windshield wiper knob and lights knob on my '91 240 or all gray and funky looking...any place that I can get a new set? Would that be really hard to install? Thanks

First it might be worth finding someone that does all the detail/prep work for the local used car lots. He may have something you can use to clear up some of the discoloration.

Other wise the junkyard, ebay or dealer are good places, but don't forget or But Sell Trade section of NICO, as it seems someone is always aprting out a 240.

That reminds me. I have a fairly decent looking wiper knob on my 93' FB, and thought about putting some 303 aerospace protectant on it a few months back. The 303 will protect the plastic from UV rays and prevent fading. Thanks for the reminder!

That happens (my theory) because of years of use and ppl using certain cleaning agents they shouldn't. I used McGuiars dash cleaner/protectant and just kept rubbing it with a clean rag...It worked pretty good, but maybe look into some 3m products that are used for cleaning plastic....There is a nice write-up(sticky) on how to detail your car and it might have some info on this...
