The windshield wiper on the driver side of Nissan Rogue 2012 leaves about 4 inch untouched at the vertical edge of the windshield. This creates a visibility issue in winter when snow accumulates on that 4 inch wide strip of windshield.

How can I fix this to make the windshield wiper go closer to the vertical edge of the windshield for at least another couple of inches?

Thank you, Rogue One.

I suppose I need to follow this

to take the arm off and put it back on in a desirable position.
Hopefully, I will not break anything and will have it done right on the first try :)

Bringing this back up since I just changed my wiper blades from OEM to a third-party set. The OEM's had the latch mount offset while the new ones are in-line. So my new blades don't wipe as far as the OEM's used to.

I tried to re-position the wiper arm by removing the nut and trying to remount the wiper arm. The problem is that I could not for the life of me get the wiper arm off after removing the locking nut. It feels like it's super glued in there. Anyone have any suggestions or tips as to how to get the wiper arm off so I can remount it to a slightly better position?

You should be able to find something like this at your local auto parts store.

A battery terminal puller will work too.

I simply hold pressure up on wiper arm to lift the stud to top of its' play and lightly tap on the stud, it pops loose after a few taps. There is a light press interference fit there to keep slack from building up from being loose and whacking against it at ends of travel.
