Windshield washer pump

I am wanting to remove the windshield washer pump, but I am a bit nervous about possibly breaking my wiper tank due to its age. What are the proper steps to physically removing it from the tank? Is it bracketed in on the side or is it screwed into the bottom of the tank?

I can access its location from under the wheel well. Any advice?

I think you need to remove the bumper to get to it. Thats how I got to it on my 1991 Q45 part out.
