windshield washer not working

My windshield washer reservoir ran dry & after re-filling with fluid, it doesn't work. The pump is working but no fluid comes out. Anybody know how to fix this???

You probably have an air pocket in your fluid line. If you push your washer fluid switch and hold it for 20 seconds the air should work it self out of the line.

I should also add, hubby was saying the guy at the dealership told him the detergents used in some washer fluids clog up the lines quite easily. avoid detergents.
