I am having a hard time removing the streaks from the outside of my 91Q windshield. I've tried different types of glass cleaners and even used some white vinegar but nothing seems to work.

The windshield surface is very rough and not slick and smooth. Any suggestions, maybe a plastic and glass polish or car wax polish with a good buffing.

Thanks

Try a cleaner wax, or something like a rubbing compound, with an orbital sander or buffer.

Does it look like small stone chips i nthe windshield, or actually something on the glass.

You might try a razor blade, to see if it scrapes off.

I cleaned mine really good, and put on some Rain-X, and buffed it with a polisher, and the glass is much better. The wipers work great, now.

I've heard really good things about a product called "Barkeeper's Friend" for cleaning the outside.

Jeff,No stone chips, I think its something on the glass. You can see the streaks when the morning dew is on the windshield and also when the windsheild is wet during washing. Don't know if it's build up from old improper rain-x application or not. I'll trying buffing with cleaner wax and then razor blade. Thanks
