Have him call a couple of these companies for quotes. Most companies will come to you and install the glass on site. http://www.google.com/search?h...ss+am

Glass replacement from a dealership will cost you a fortune - $800 or more. Depending on your location, glass from PPG and the likes will probably cost you <$500, installed. I've had PPG installed on my Q45 2 years ago for <$300. Avoid glass from FYG (FuYao Glass, Chjina). There were issues with glasses made by this company before. Maybe the quality has improved...I don't know.

Yeah, you can definitely save money getting it installed somewhere other than the dealership. Just make sure you choose a good shop. One shop ground away part of the dashboard in my Maxima years and years back. And don't get cheap glass! Cheap glass can have horrible rippling that really messes up visibility (feels like you're under water). I've had cheap glass in my cars a couple times and it's NOT worth the saved cash.
