Just call up a place that does windshield installs they usually comes right to your house, remove the old one, install the new one with new trim. You can't reuse the old stuff b/c its usually trashed from removing the windshield.

i'm assuming you want to reuse the trim because they charge outragious prices for it. I called about mine and it was more than the windshield replacement when the guys got to my work he laughed at how expensive it was and he did it for free, or included in the price of the install, but that trim can't be more than 10 bucks

The only time I noticed the windshield trim is when it leaks. universal should be just fine. $420 to replace a windshield and trim is alot. It costed me about $100 to get a guy to come to my work and do it....but then again, that about 12 years ago... :-)

Did my own windshield and reused old molding just fine. It's metal not plastic. Be gentle and it will be o.k. ,and with enough urethane you will have no leaks.

I was charged 150 (non-hud) for my new windshield. The old trim and molding was reused. It looks good. G/L getting new trim and molding. It costs an arm and leg from the dealership.

I replace windshields and do other glasswork for a living and you really can't tell the difference of the trim from a few feet away, and really won't even notice unless you really remember what the original looked like.

Sometimes its possible to use the old trim, usually when its a newer vehicle but on a car like ours its really better to just use new trim.

I just got a quote for 220 for removal and install. They said they can get the factory trim for 85, or reuse the old stuff. But my trim is trashed....Bro your getting ripped off, 200 for the trim is a joke!

The universal rubber trim works just fine and is usually more water-tight than the factory molding. I've used it on other vehicles and actually liked the way it looked more. Especially because our trim is usually faded and cracked at this point.

They reused my old trim and I paid $167. No problems since it was done 6 years ago.
