I'm not sure if you want to add these in the acronym file or not. I'll let you guys decide.

Ok, so the POS P/O replaced the front windshield with generic gray gradient glass that's so cheaply made, it has horizontal ripples (ocular irregularities) from top to bottom.

My question is - where's the best place to get the OEM glass (rootbeer gradient) for my '92? I assume that a seal kit will also need to be purchased.

The Q is about to go into hibernation for the winter, and that may be a good winter project to do.

You could always leave the crappy glass there and tell people you just bought a $100k VW Phaeton.

**Thread bump. Hope someone has an answer.**

I had a new windshield put in my 90Q a couple of months ago at a local glass shop. They offered me 3 different pieces with varying tints and I chose the middle grade, installed (in NorCal), for $200. It looked great with no blemishes.

I guess my point is if you're going to install it yourself just take a close look at the quality of the glass before you purchase and drive away with it. Good luck.

Is this something Joe would source?

I'm sure that it would be near impossible to get a good oem windshield from auto salvage sources.

I'm sure Joe would have it but the shipping cost would more than eat up the NICO discount. Check prices at your local Infiniti dealer and also see what the local auto glass shops have to offer.

Call Joe, maybe he can do some thing "super" like source it for you from a local dealership?? If not, maybe he can tell you how to identify an OEM piece?

OEM glass is super duper expensive.... EDIT just checked theyre 680 plus 150 shipping....

Id go with the highest quality aftermarket you can find, still should be half the price of OEM.,
