You could try tapping on the motor with the wiper switch set to "on". Its on the firewall towards the driver side. That's a common failure in other cars of this age, not sure about the Q's, but the one on my 94 was fresh and shiny when I bought the car last year.

back from dealer,45 to diagnose, they got the wipers "temporarily?" working as new,but say the amplifier has a short in it,and want 288 to replace-question,how long will they "temporarily" work for without replacing"defective" amp? somehow,i feel i will be getting the worlds most expensive car wash if i let them do the job? any feedback, replace amp, even though wipers currently work,or roll the dice and save 288?

you have come to a cross road.

1. Do you spend the crazy money to fix it by dealer?

2. Do you buy it and install yourself?

3. Do you get a junkyard part and install yourself?

4. Do you get a junkyard part and get mechanic to do it?

Me, myself, personally I would go with junkyark part and mechanic.

I'd order a motor form Joe and have it on hand for when the installed one failed.

update, wipers quit again, one tap on the amplifier{ next to starter relay} got them working,so amp is definitly bad.called joe,90 dollars for part vs 156.00 at local dealer for part and 288 total installed-will order part from joe-install looks like 10 minute plug n play- save almost 200 by bypassing local dealer!
