Hi GuysI have a defross problem. This is my 1st winter with my versa and when I drive, in cold weather, my windsheild gets warm only in the lower half which cause my wiper to not work properly. Exemple: last month I was driving in the freezing rain and althought I was on full defross, as soon as the rain hit the windsheild it was freezing in the upper half causing my visibility to be null.Anybody encounter this problem? and if so have you found what is causing it?

I had that problem a few weeks ago my self with the freezing rain freezing on the windshield. My solution was to turn on the ac and crank the heat to 3 and with in 2 min. the windshield was clear and fine. Also check the vent in the middle of the dash and make sure that the vents are in the open position.

Also - even though you prob know it, but because it hasn't been said - make sure that the outside air vent is open - not recirculating. Living in Minnesota you get to be an expert. It's amazing that many people drive around with ALL their windows frosted over because they have the vent in the wrong position. It's esp. prevalent with new drivers, or those new to our "frozen tundra" environment from Dec to March!! (and dangerous due to the fact they can't see out their windows)

If the OUTSIDE of your windshield is freezing up, you probably have your A/C on. Turn OFF the A/C, blast it full upwards at 4, and that should do it. I can cook myself with the Versa's heater so there's no reason that full heat shouldn't be able to stave off outside icing.

I appreciate all of your comments. I have tried every possible way A/C on or off, fan at 4 and cranked over, dash vent turn open, NO CHANGE.But sorry I should of told you to that I have been to the dealer and they realize the same issue as me + they had another client with the same issue. So bascily what is happening is the airflow is push away from the w/s about halfway up the w/s, you can feel it as you put your hand on the outside of the w/s. So I was wondering if one of you had the problem.

All comment are very welcome
