I was coming out from seeing a friend and hit the remote, the windows rolled down a bit and then I got in the car. I started the car and went to set the windows front and back the way I wanted, it was a nice night, no need for air.

The windows would not move via the master controls so I tried to use the door controls, nothing.

Then I used the remote to lower both front doors and it worked. Tried to close the window and no luck.

The vehicle is in my garage now with the windows down. I have never had a warning that something was awry. Any ideas?

Must be a BCU. Check the wiring diagram in the FSM.

You'll need to jumper 2 sets of pins on the plug that leads to the window motor from the door switch on each door.

The door switch must be removed to do it.

I made a set of jumpers out of a paper clip and electrical tape when I had to do mine.

Mind you, this will only solve the issue of the windows being stuck down, not resolve the problem itself.

Also, look in the FSM and run the LAN diagnostics before you do anything.

Alternatively, if you have extra money to burn, you could always take the car to your local Infiniti dealer and have them run it on the Consult.

Well I feel like a total idiot. I was out last night like I said and had a couple of glasses of vino. I must have hit the window lock, because as I began to run the diagnostic on it, I was distracted and then hit the front window button and it worked.

Part of the diagnostic is to make sure the power window lock is off.I never use this thing!!!!!!

Reminds me of my mother, locking all the doors all the time and she is 94. Anyway I hope my over sight and subsequent admission thereof is a help to someone else one day. I guess I need to lay off the vino.

Me too Wes and I am sorry I wasted your time as well. Wine is a dangerous chemical when mixed with an elder mind.
