Hi all,

This is for my 98 Maxima SE. I am trying to figure out why, once in a while, I walk back to my car, and the two front windows are open fully. Is it something to do with the way I turn off the key in the ignition? Is it a button on the remote that maybe opens windows automatically when held too long?

I can't replicate this, and can't find it in the owner's manual.

Thanks

Heeter

I don't know about the 98, but the 5th gens will roll the windows down if you are sitting on the unlock button.

Holding the unlock button on the FOB can roll down the windows. 4th gens do this, 2000 and 2001 maxima DO NOT but 2002 and up do again.

Hey all,

Thanks for all your replies!

So if I can roll down the windows with the FOB, can I roll them back up again?

Thanks

Ouch!

Well, I showed up at the shop where they are replacing my powertrain @ 9pm last night and the windows were down. I was the last one in the car @3pm earlier that day, and I left it on the street so I can pick it up later with a friend.

Is there a way I can disable this "feature"?
