Had my new stereo installed yesterday (sounds great) now my windows don't work right. They go down fine, but don't automatically go all the way back up by just pushing the button once.

Ok...this is the emergency. You know how they go down about 1/2 inch when you open the door, then back up when you close it? It isn't going back up. It is staying open about 1/2 inch. We are expecting bad thunderstorms tomorrow morning and I don't have anyway to close my door and the window roll up. Eek!

What the heck could they have done?

I fixed it....YIPPEE! I remembered what y'all told me to do when my G's window messed up and I tried it. It took a few times but they are working right now.

May still want to go into the dealer to have it looked at. Whenever they repaired my car, if I used the automatic window roll up button (clicking button twice backwards for up) my window would go to the top then come back down 3 inches.

They ended up replacing the window motor and that part could be expensive.

Girl, you gonna make us search for it? Do tell what you did, or post a link. Please.

Roll the window down, then continue to hold the button down for 10 seconds. It will make a popping noise inside the door. I had to do that 2 or 3 times for both windows but they both seem to be working fine now. Somehow doing that resets the window?!?!?!

I wonder why them installing a stereo would mess up my windows?

On a lighter note...drove to work this morning with the stereo BLASTING. OMG, I love it. I'll never understand why Nissan would put such a crappy radio in such a nice car. :woot:

Normally it is roll it down, then roll it up and hold for 10 seconds. That is the normal procedure to reset the auto-up after the battery has been disconnected.

A lot of people get tired of looking at his butt. :lolling:

Glad you like it. I took that out of my upstairs window. I thought it looked pretty cool.

Yes, we know it's a couple of ticks faster than the G. I'm sure that had nothing to do with your crossing to the dark side.:naughty:

It is a cool pic, and the first one I've seen of the car that calls out very clearly how the body lines have evolved from the original 240Z.

Thanks. This is the one I use on my Camaro Club site. I would like to get them together head to toe and kinda curl the front ends together (does that make sense) and make it look like the Yen and Yang of American Muscle and Japanese engineering. I'm afraid I might bump one car against the other, then I guess you know I would have to kill myself.

:ohno:

You have two very nice Z's. The 28 is about as tasteful as I've seen, I'd envisioned something more garish.

Think about a shot with them angled tails apart and noses together, like an inverted V facing the camera, shot at a slight angle to the cars. You'd get the front ends and some indication of the side lines on both cars.
