Here is the free link to the FSM of your car. FSM = factory service manual. http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/

when you do get to it you can swap one from a rear door for convenience until you can find another

Not to 2nd guess your diagnosis but are you sure that the problem isn't with the window regulator which is the slide bar/cable mechanism that moves the window up and down. I'm thinking that you're down under (Kiwi or Aussie?) so your driver side window is actually the right side window. That will be important to mention if/when you purchase a new or used part.

There is a power window amp in the driver side door (JDM or USDM) but they're not prone to failure. Look at the body section of the FSM for details on removing the door panel (and regulator). You'll see the amp when you pull the door panel off. While you're there, take the regulator out, remove it's motor, and see if any of the 4 plastic cable end connections are broken or the cable is frayed and not reeving properly on the drum. After you clean and lube the assembly the bar that the window attaches to should slide freely.

In the EL section of the FSM look at "Location of Electrical Units" to find any window relays. It will be one of the standardized relays that you can swap with any other relay from the Q (or any other Nissan) of the same color.

With all that said, chances are pretty darned good that the relay(s), power window amp, and regulator motor are all fine. Other than a blown fuse (caused by a dirty or broken regulator) the regulator is probably the problem with your window. In case I'm wrong I do have a relay, motor or window amp I'll sell cheap. Good luck.

Here is a picture of mine that might help you but this is a 1993 Infiniti Q45 Left Hand Drive:
Image
Big silver rectangular box is transmission control unit.
Round Black thing is Power window and sun roof circuit breaker.
Blue relay is for the power windows and sun roof

Again I am not sure if the harnesses are switched.

I have never heard of a window relay failing but check the center console window switches first and make sure they are plugged in otherwise only the drivers window will function.

You're right Paul. I forgot that there's only one switch for the DF window so that could easily be the problem. He's still going to have do do some electrical testing at the switch or window motor end of the circuit.
