With all the driving I do, I want my entire MP3 library at my finger-tips, AND Trackball.

I have every B5, Star Trek, Stargate, and tons of other SyFy TV Series, and Movie audio
tracks ripped to MP3 files. I listen to them as I drive, and the time flies by.

One thing with listening to them -vs- watching them? You will hear things
you missed, and not just the first time around. You can listen to the same
series 3 times, and catch something you didn't realize was there when
you watched it.

Why?
#1, It sounds 100% better than decoded through the radio. I had my 128GB M.2
drive on the USB port, and while it worked, just didn't sound good. I have
a real graphic EQ in the player too.

#2, Control! You can't go to a specific time with the radio. You'd have
to press and hold FF/FW or the wheel control till you get to where you want
to be. With this, it's instant. I use PotPlayer, it has a nice interface.
Can volume up and down with the Trackball wheel. Can FF/FW with the
Up/Down button on the trackball. Or use the touch screen and
tap anywhere on the progress line.

#3, It's a fully functional Windows PC!

All I need to do now, is upgrade the door speakers.

Cool! I just bought a used 10 inch Win10 tablet PC from ebay to have a more convenient way to run VCDS for my VW since the software only runs on Windows. Nice size to fit in the glovebox so it is always there when I need it rather than having to grab the laptop to take out to the vehicle. Seeing how you are using yours, I might look into incorporating it into the AV system so my daughter can have more things to watch while on trips.

I ran VCDS on this when I had my VWs. I still have a V17 cable
and software. I had a 2013S, and TDI, 2012 SE, and a 2015 Sport.
TDI they bought back, after deer hit repairs, and the other
ones were totaled due to deer hits.

I still have VW parts. Misc stuff like the headlamp covers, and
rear tail trunk fabric covers. Rear seat bottom from a '15 Sport.
Rear side plastic panels from a '15 sport. Just all kinds of
odds and ends. I had a LOT more, sold it all for $500 to some
dude tho took it all down the Mexico.

Anyhow, got this RCA Tablet from Walmart like 5 years ago for $50.
They had two of them, and I should have bought both of them. Their
last pricing was $69 before none were available. Walmart on-line
still shows that price, but unavailable. I got the detachable
keyboard, never used it. Has a Mini HDMI output on it, but I
won't ever be using that. If I ever upgrade, I plan to install a
10" monitor, and use one of those small cube PCs.

When I had my 2000 Avenger ES, I mounted a Modded Xbox in the trunk,
and used a 7" LCD monitor for that, and mounted the controller
to the center console. I actually have a PS4 slim I can use now
if I wanted to, barely used it. The PS5 would be a too tempting
a target for theft. I even have a Modded PS3 I cold use, and a
Moddedn XB360... I may just use the PS4 now that I think about
it...
