With all the driving I do, I want my entire MP3 library at my finger-tips, AND Trackball.
I have every B5, Star Trek, Stargate, and tons of other SyFy TV Series, and Movie audio
tracks ripped to MP3 files. I listen to them as I drive, and the time flies by.
One thing with listening to them -vs- watching them? You will hear things
you missed, and not just the first time around. You can listen to the same
series 3 times, and catch something you didn't realize was there when
you watched it.
Why?
#1, It sounds 100% better than decoded through the radio. I had my 128GB M.2
drive on the USB port, and while it worked, just didn't sound good. I have
a real graphic EQ in the player too.
#2, Control! You can't go to a specific time with the radio. You'd have
to press and hold FF/FW or the wheel control till you get to where you want
to be. With this, it's instant. I use PotPlayer, it has a nice interface.
Can volume up and down with the Trackball wheel. Can FF/FW with the
Up/Down button on the trackball. Or use the touch screen and
tap anywhere on the progress line.
#3, It's a fully functional Windows PC!
All I need to do now, is upgrade the door speakers.
