OK, I got my rough-running engine problem worked out, but now my windows are not working. The fuse is not blown, but there seems to be no power before my driver's side switch. I even hard-patched at the fuse box. Sometimes it would spark, and sometime not. Ideas?

My brother's 'vert was doing this for a while as well.. Everything seemed to work ok, then it wasn't working at all. We checked fuses, the regulator, etc, and nothing seemed to work.

Then once I was fidgeting with the the connection in the door where the window switch connects to the harness, and all of a sudden it worked. I think the metal pins were bent and not making proper contact.

I would recommend taking a needle or small headed screwdriver and trying to reposition the little metal connectors out a bit so they definitely contact the other side. That might be all the problem.

If that doesn't work, try downloading the FSM and working from that to diagnose.

Good luck!

Thanks Eikon. I'll give it a try tomorrow night, and post if it works or not.

OK, I tightened the contacts in the wiring harness, and still nothing, but I did notice that with the ignition on (with the car not running) every eight or so seconds the chimes and I hear a an electrical switching sound. My A/C is off.

Any ideas what that is? Could it be related to my window worries?
