I finally got my right turn steering problem fixed. Looking to tint the windows. there is only 1 authorized Huper obtik installer. They want 499 or 199 to install Madico. Anybody have any thoughts as to whether the Huper is worth the extra 300? Any opinions on the best shading

thanks.

Huper Optik is definitely worth the money ... particularly if you live in hot climates.

Please do a search on that topic here at NICO - you will find convincing evidence.

Sounds like a perfect excuse to take a road trip/ mini vacation down south towards Florida, where the competition is fierce for window tinters, and therefor prices for the best films {Huper and other ceramic based tints- Formula One and 3 M among others now offer it} is about 1/2 or even less than your quote.

if the extra $300 is a big deal then a high quality "basic" film is fine. I can't remember the name of the tint I got but it did fine this summer as far as cutting down some heat in my car.

I went with the formula one Ultimate Series. I did not go for the Pinnacle Series because the only difference was the electronic interference and a tiny bit more heat rejection.

I went with the darkest legal amount on the front windows and the same on the rear passenger windows too. I don't like the color variance. We went darker on the back window but not too dark.

I have had no issues with reduced signal reception on my radio or cell phone. The car is nice and cool too.

The whole thing was $200 installed.

nemo1, I had my M45 tinted at Advanced Audio on S.Linbergh with the Pinnacle ceramic tint for around $300. I had all 5 windows tinted @ 20%. The tint looks good( nice charcoal black color). Also includes lifetime warranty.
