Window Tinting GTA

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Hi Folks - I have an EX 35, 2008, Light Grey.

I have finally decided to do some tinting based on other EX 35's (black usually) that I have seen. Looks fantastic! Can anyone recommend a reliable place to get the job done in the greater Toronto area west? Also, does anyone have some parameters for tinting they recommend for this colour (ie. percent tint, shade etc). Any concerns regarding tinting?

Thanks for the help...

http://www.fxauto.com/

They use Formula 1 Tint which is the best and they use a computer to cut out each piece so that they don't have to do it by hand with a razor blade and risk messing up your car's defroster lines etc.

I would AVOID Metallic Tints so you don't have any problems with the electronics in the car.

I WOULD go with a ceramic tint which provides the benefits of metallic tint without the downsides.

fx auto is good but they are pretty expensive compared to others in the gta who usually charge around 150 for the job

Ahh, but you get what you pay for with tints. Better Film + Better end result is worth it.

And I think you could get them down to $200.

Other places lay down the tint on the glass and then cut the shape out using a razor blade. On the back window, sometimes there are little SLIGHT gaps that allow light to come through. It looks really crappy.

If you don't go with Ceramic Tint, you could also save a few bucks, but why cheap out like that?

I am in So Cal, got it done at Tint zone In Rowland heights.pretty good job over all. He used LLumar films, and gave me warranty cards with Reg # on it, since it does come with life time warranty.I used 3 different shades.ATR 5ATR 15ATR 30

Back window is the darkest, then 2nd row windws then 1st row windows are the lightest. looks ok tho.

here are 2 images. He was pretty good, got it done in about 1.5 hours.Cost me $170 OTD price.

Here in US, automotive applications go from $100-$1000 depending on film and location - that's right, some films are actually WORTH $1,000 for a car. I got my car tinted last month and I'm really impressed with the results. I got a tint that fits my car and my budget I asked help from http://www.TintBuyer.com. They provided me relevant information such as its types, quotations, laws involved in every state and most importantly they help me locate the best window tinters near my area.
