Window tint.

Hey everyone I just got my front two windows tinted today to match the factory rear. I looks almost perfect from the outside, if you look from certain angles you can see a little color diffrence, you have to be looking for it though. Now from the inside out it doesn't match at all. The factory is alot lighter. I know that the factory the tint is in the glass and not a film. I was thinking of maybe going over it with a lighter tint. Has anyone else experienced this issue. If so with did you do to fix. If I were to go over it with a lighter tint I don't know what percent to use as not to go to dark or to light. By the way I used 15% up front.

I also found the factory colored glass not strong enough, so i had them tinted. Don't remember the percent but it was about medium, so combined they look like limo.

Isn't there a way to chemically tint the glass so it has the same affect as factory?

I've got that ugly sh*tty gold tint so I've never tinted my front windows

I'm not sure if you can or not, but that would probaly be a little more then I want to spend.

You wont match aftermarket tint to oem tint, personally, if it really bothers you, Id cover up the rears with the same 15% and yes they will be a bit darker from the front, but will match

ANd for the guy asking for pricing, general rule is $25/window. I did my whole QX4 for $240, and recently got my front 2 and a windshield banner in limo for $100 (windshields kinda hard)

normal price for two front windows can be from $60 to $80.... dont spend no more than $100 thats too much

i pay 150 for the whole wrap aroundall of the windows exept the windshield. that costs more.

Hey, I did exactly the same thing. Full tint all the way around.Back windows came up nice and dark, just the way I wanted.

Yup, one thing i like in particular is how you can no longer see the black border around the edges of the rear quarter panel windows.... it just looks like a big black window as you can see in your pic

Agreed. I have very dark tint on my pickup and I have to roll down my windows to see my mirrors when I back up.
