I'm going to get my car tinted soon and don't know what to get. I don't want to get metallic tint because of all the signal interference I keep reading about. I was quoted $175 for non metallic tint, $399 for Huper Optik, and $225 for FormulaOne Pinnacle series (says it's ceramic).

My questions are the installers said the only difference between ceramic and non metallic is that ceramic has higher heat rejection. Also, does anyone have any opinions on the FormulaOne? i.e. is it as good as Huper Optik?

Thanks for all the help....it's hard picking the right stuff for such a nice car

I was in the same boat last week. Dropped it off yesterday and got the Formula One Pinnacle 15%. Looks great, I will get some pics posted tomorrow. I didnt want to take the risk of the metallic messing with anything. The tint shop said that since the Sat antenna is on top of the car the metallic shouldnt be a problem but I didnt want to risk it. My dealership paid $160 towards the tint and I paid the rest which was $220. So thats a really good price for the Formula One unless I just got ripped off. I am happy with it either way.

That helps a lot thanks.

I had 15% all around in my Camaro and it was a tad bit dark at night, and cops always harassed me about it; though that was probably also from the system/ exhaust/ speeding lol.

I'm going to go 15% or 20% rear whatever they have and 30% on the front two windows.

Did they give you any instructions about it? Aside from the usual don't roll your windows down and only clean with water or the special tint safe window cleaning stuff.

Sorry about the long post
