Window Tint

I want to tint my passenger and driver side windows sometime in the spring, anybody know any good places in GTA? or should I buy precut tint on ebay, good idea? and should I do 20% to match factory tint in the rears or would 35% be much different from factory, so I would get that clean all black window look without affecting night vision as much. Thanks for your help

Personally i'd rather get it done from a tint shop. My sister and I attempted to tint her Eclipse a few years ago and it was terrible (an issue is that it can crinkle easily and you can't get rid of that) We did it over twice and it still looked terrible so she got it done professionally. As for the percentage the 20% is good IMO and with the tint these days it's not too hard to see at night. I have privacy glass on my QX in the back (it's from about 8 years ago) and you can't see a thing out them at night...but i have 20% on my G (i had it done almost a year ago now) and it's fine at night but bright reverse lights do help

awesome thanks for the heads up. So does anybody know any good professional places in the GTA that do this and if possible, pricing for just the 2 windows?

if youre gonna go 20%, check local laws first. nothing more frustraring than paying to get it done, then having to rip it off cause the local fuzz doesnt like it. been there, done that before.

20% isn't legal anywhere. They keep changing it here though...it used to be 35% then it went to 75% i believe, which is basically nothing.

Out here in Cali you can't have anything on the fronts. What we do is keep a razor with us and if we get pulled over(I've got 5% all the way around) then we tell the officer that we'll take it off right there and most of the time they let us go. It's so common now that they won't pull you over just for that and if they pull you over for something else they'll only give you a ticket for it if they're a real jerk. Probably one out of every 3 cars on the road out here have the fronts tinted. If we have to get it redone most shops give you a major discount for the fronts. On my 01 QX4 I haven't been ticketed yet and I've had it for a while now, knock on fake wood trim.

I did my 02 Pathy last year at Zeibart. They also did my other 2 cars. Good quality work, no problems. The Pathy has a slight factory tint on the front windows, so I went with 35% on the front, and 20% on the rest. Looks really good, and gives me that semi privacy I was looking for. If you go too dark on the front, besides the legal issues, you will have a visibility issue at night, especially when it's raining. It's not safe. FYI: you probably know this, but the lower the %, the darker the tint. I paid $350.00 for all the windows.

i checked, the limit in ontario is 22% sooo im going to opt for the 35% tint, it will give me that nice darker front window look and still give me decent visibility at night
