window tint?

Hi peoples, I just got my 1999 Q45t tinted. When I went to pick it up the first thing I notice was that my back window light was cut out. I know that it is illegal to not cut it out but it look so good without it cut out. they "tinter" said that he could not do anything about it because the computer wouldn't allow him to.My question is I know someof the older y33 has the brake light on the trunk lid leaving that you would have to have a whole tinted window.Right?Is all the windows the same for the y33 (1997-2001)?

Windows are the same, and like you said, on mine the HMBL is on the spoiler, there's no hole in my tint.

Only 1997-1998 t model spoiler had brake light. Can't remember is the CHMBL was eliminated like on G50 model.

But I am sure my wife's 2000 FY33 has no cut out (and no spoiler) for CHMBL on her HP Stark 30 tint.

Just had my 99' q45t tinted and they took the back window brake light out and tinted the whole window. When they were done, they put the brake light back in.

Yeah I figured it was more so them not wanting to take out the brake light than anything else. Glad you got what you wanted

My back windows are all limo-tinted. you dont need to cut it out. I have never been pulled over for that. And because I live among most pickiest cops, i can assure you that you wont get pulled over for that anywhere else.

Brake light comes out with 2 nuts. I took it out myself and actually pulled the back deck so there was less chance of getting fuss under the tint. I used to own an audio & tint shop in Chicago.
