Would anyone have any suggestions for going about removing the tint from my windows, should i just peel it off? . Becuase well they are now a purplish tint and it looks really stupid so I want to get rid of it.

Peel off the tint but the glue will be left underneath it...so get some adhesive remover and scrub your arse off! Took me about an hour to do 4 windows.

Also might wanna try getting a hair dryer and heating the glue as you peel off the tint...this might help it might not, but give that a try as well.

yeah same here its like a dark blue.. my nebors friend does window tinting.. he told me to remove the tint and put new on (illeagle tint ;) ) it would cost me 150$ but he would normaly charge 200 or so.. cuz i have a big back window.. but if u go to auto zone or somthin they have film remover.. its in a spray bottle and comes with a razor.. but let me tell u.. getting tint off is a b****.. and on the back window.. with the defroster.. uhh u will be hateing life.. my friend took his tint off.. took him a few weeks ( cuz he would only do a little bit ever day or so).. and its still has glue on the window.. so ya if u wanna save money take it off yourself but heck i would say its woth the money just to get somone to do it.. thats my 10 cents the 2 cents is free :)

more than it would cost you to go buy an 8 oz. bottle of adhesive remover and do it yourself :P

dude, ive taken off my tint, and as others have said, its no easy task. Do get the goo remover, and use a razor blade. Easiest way for me. Back window will be a little tricky though. Got those defrosters and all, driver and passenger glass isnt that hard

I used to tint windows for a living.we would say about 50-60 for removal on 2 door car.but really, we would determine the price when we saw the car or truck.. the times we would usually charge more is when a big van or mini van comes in that has a lot of glass.

as for removal tips...go get yourself a nice large pack of razor blades, ammonia(you can consentrate it in a spray bottle with more water than ammonia).. remember...this stuff will tear up your nose and eyes while using it.

we had a steamer that is really the best way.... hold steam on the tint for a minute or so andjust peel away.....depending on how bad it is.. it may take more effort.but I would take off a large amount of tint (as possible) and then spray it down with the glue remover we had (worked awesome...not sure on the manufactor, but we got it through our tint supply catalog) and just scrape away with the razors.

its no easy task, unless the tint is brand new..even then.

so when you go get an estimate from a tint shop for removal..don't think that they are charging you way too much and just trying to **** you over..myself... I would rather not remove the tint than get paid the removal charge.

goodluck :)
